Hingeless Rotor Blades
Coaxial hingeless rotor configuration, low-drag high-efficiency design, high forward flight efficiency and hovering efficiency
The rotor system adopts the lightweight design with its number of parts reduced, owing to which, its service life is extended and maintenance becomes easy. Compared with the rotor system with single rotor and tail rotor configuration, this system is free from tail transmission, tail gearbox, and tail rotor, and thus features compact structure and small overall dimensions. Therefore, it is applicable to the space-limited ship-based environment. Its capability in resisting against crosswind is strong and thus its hovering efficiency is enhanced by 8%~15%. It is only configured with the feathering hinge instead of the flapping hinge and lead-lag hinge. Fixed supports are adopted in both flapping and lead-lag directions. Blades are connected to the propeller hub through rigid connection. Flapping and lead-lag motions are realized relying on the elastic deformation of blade roots.
