Bearingless Rotor Blades
United Aircraft has successfully developed the bearingless rotors with the rotor diameter respectively of 4.6 m, 6 m, and 10 m, and they have been put into use on different types of platforms, providing overwhelming support for the 4th-generation rotors.
As one of the significant symbols of the 4th-generation helicopter, bearingless rotors adopt the composite flexible beams, with hinges and bearings of the traditional rotors completed cancelled. The flapping, lead-lag, and feathering motions of blades rely on the propeller hub's support arms and elastic deformation of blades. Therefore, such blades feature high control efficacy, simple structure, low propeller hub drag, and excellent maintainability.
