In June, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China and United Aircraft Group jointly held the strategic cooperation signing ceremony and launching ceremony of China's first unmanned helicopter international training and flight test base.
In recent years, with the booming of China’s
UAV industry, the lack of professional pilots has become an important factor
restricting the development of industrial drones. Guohua Chen, secretary general of AOPA China,
said that the cooperation with United Aircraft to build the first base in China
hoped to fully mobilize the resource advantages and strengths of both sides, actively
promote the application of large-scale UAV, as well as standardize training,
airworthiness certification and test flight in order to ensure flight safety.
The assistant to the president of United
Aircraft Group, said United Aircraft Group had several domestic first-class UAV
test flight sites, located in Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhu, Dunhuang and other areas
to carry out UAV scientific research tests, finalization appraisal, airworthiness
certification, operation and maintenance personnel training and test flight.
China's first
international training and flight test base for unmanned helicopters will be a
comprehensive demonstration area and public service platform training qualified
and professional UAV pilots, and continuously cultivating a solid reserve force
for Chinese UAV enterprises.
